About TTRI
紡織產業綜合研究所，原創於民國四十八年十二月的「台灣紡織品試驗中心」，早期以執行我國紡織品之外銷檢驗及維護產品品質為主；民國六十年六月起，更名為「中國紡織工業研究中心」，期間配合著紡織產業的快速發展需求，任務自紡織相關廠商之品管分等追查，轉型為科技研發。民國九十三年九月起，為開創研發及服務業務營運的多元化，以及，擴大國際化的腳步，更名為「紡織產業綜合研究所」，成為國際級紡織科技研發及知識服務的主要機構。
近年，為因應台灣紡織產業的轉型，紡織綜合所，除於現有之土城廠區，另於雲林斗六成立分部，並於九十七年六月已正式啟用，除了提升對中南部廠商的服務外，更將整合技術研發、檢測、推廣服務等能量，成為一個兼具示範工廠、創新育成及產品開發的紡織研發與服務場區。
展望未來，紡織綜合所將以「篩選重點技術研發」來建構對內核心技術能量，以「加強創新前瞻研發」來持續提升國內紡織產業競爭力，以「強化智慧資產佈局」來建立領導性創新產業，以「推動國際科技合作」來運籌全球創新資源，以「協助產業技術整合」來開創產業聯盟新價值鏈，秉持「合作，誠信，務實，創新」的精神，向「科技尖峰」不斷挑戰與成長，與所有的業者攜手前進，共創台灣紡織的新未來！
Taiwan Textile Research Institute was established in December 1959 as successor to ”The Technical department of Taiwan Cotton Spinners Association-TCSA”, which provided quality assurance for Taiwan textile industry. In June 1971, the institute changed its name to “China Textile Institute”. During that time the needs of the industry were changed. The mission of the institute evolved from textile testing to technology research and development. Since September 2004, for the internationalization and diversification of the textile industry, the name of the institute was changed to ”Taiwan Textile Research Institute”.
In recent years, in order to cope with the transformation of Taiwan's textile industry, the institute, in addition to its existing plant in Tucheng, set up another branch in Yunlin County which was started to operate in June, 2008. It will upgrade the service for central and southern Taiwan manufacturers, and integrate the technology research and development.
Looking to the future, the institute will use the "core technology" to build the internal energy, the "innovative research" to enhance the competitiveness of the industry, the "layout of intelligent assets" to establish the lead of industrial innovation, the "promotion of international cooperation" to coordinate global resources and the "industrial technology conformity" to create the industry alliance value chain . With the principle of "cooperation, integrity and pragmatic innovation", the institute will continue to grow with the challenge, and create the new future for Taiwan textile industry!
